Water is the king of moisture & after such goodness has been put into the hair it's so important to keep it IN! Otherwise called Sealing..Seal-In.
How do you seal in moisture(water and any other goodness put in) ?_
1. Use of Leave in conditioner, oil and butter
2. Oil and Leave-in Conditioner.
3. Use of Oil only
4. Use of Butter only. _
After a wash day(clay, shampoo, clarifying conditioner, water alone) you seal with the 1st or second step.
Within the week remoisturising? then the 3 or 4th will apply.
In the case where you are not washing but just rehydrating the hair probably after a couple of days of wearing it out then step 1 or 2 will apply.
If you do only a deep condition then any of the steps may apply._
When I'm just moisturizing braids or twists inbetween wash days then step 4 applies(whipped shea butter, so the oils are in it already). But if after a co wash which I now do more often or a shampoo wash or any treatment(deep condition) the first option applies._
Sealing is important because if you don't seal in that moisture especially from water 1st, your hair will dry out and be as tough as rock! dry hair equals breakage. Seal in the moisture today! and retain length and health! _
