I was looking through photos from last year & guess what I noticed?!? My head is on straight!! 🙆‍♀️🎉🎈🎉🙆‍♀️ These are words I never thought I'd say in my life. I am SO happy. Having a side-by-side image really made it obvious how lopsided my head was & how my posture wasn't great; I'm not leaning to the L all of the time. My head is centered & is on solid. It doesn't move at all; how weird is it that I'm happy I can't move my head or neck at all 🤔. I don't feel clicking/clunking/popping. I don't have pain over my C1 where wires were. I don't have pain or neuro symptoms from the skull plate moving...it was nauseating feeling that every day 🤢. So, even though there are issues, it's important to acknowledge the areas that have improvement. Idk about you but I can't focus on the negative all of the time. “Stay close to people who feel like sunlight”.⁣⁣☀️ ⁣⁣ Due to a hotel mixup I almost slept on the floor at my coaching summit last week. 😬Now, me being me, I was ok with that. I was just excited to be there and would have made the best of it. 😅⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ But when I mentioned it to this babe pictured here, she immediately offered to come to my rescue and bring me a twin sized air mattress, pillows and sheets. 🥰❤️⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ And I thought what a sweet, kind human being. But what you don’t know is that I had never even met her before, we were just two strangers on the Internet who ended up on the same path (different “teams”) through coaching. 🤗⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Luckily as it turned out the hotel was able to provide a roll-away bed and I didn’t need the air mattress or have to sleep on the floor. 🙌🏻 But I am yet again so thankful for this coaching opportunity and the gift I’ve been given of meeting all these amazing, loving kind women. Thank you Corine. 💗

Is selfcare selfish? NO! Self care is freaking important. I used to think doing something for myself was selfish. And that's the lifestyle I learned to live in failed relationships. I actually believed that if I was doing something for myself it wasn't right. I felt like I should be doing something for someone else. I loved and still love to do things for others, it's a form of self care in itself but not when it meant putting myself on the back burner. When I really started paying attention, I realized that I would never talk to a friend the way I was talking to myself.Taking care of yourself will undoubtedly lead to more self-compassion. #facts A lesson taught to me by my daughter is that if my cup isn't full, then I can't help fill hers and she deserves the best momma that I can be so I'm filling the heck outta my cup because she and I deserve it. What I realized is that the more I practiced my own self-care the more of the real me was available for family and friends. It’s a bit like building muscle, it takes practice and time. But so, so worth it. Today's selfcare was a great conversation with an amazing nail tech and some bomb ass nails 🔥.. but it started much more simple than this.  How many times do you stop and think, what do I LOVE to do. What can I do for myself that makes me feel good... I didnt know 😥 As we grow up and leave ‘childhood’ behind we are taught to believe that play is for kids and that doing too much for ourselves is ‘selfish.’ At least those were some of the beliefs I picked up along the way. As my world opened up to self-care, what it was, and the importance of it, I have completely re-connected with myself. I did a thing... . . . Was a vendor at our local Apple Pie Jamboree. Signed up 3 days before the event. . . My weekend was open so why not? . . . While I thought my kids would just sit nicely on the blanket behind the booth and play while momma talked oils with people, they did not. . . The boys lasted a couple hours before Grandma Anna came to the rescue. Reese was my assistant for the day and did wonderfully. . . . It was fun to meet new faces and share some fun DIY products using essential oils. . . I’m a people person and a believer that everyone needs to ditch the toxins in their life...so ya...I’ll probably do it again. 🤪

Plant-based eating. 🌮 Haven’t done an update on this in a while, but in February I decided to stop eating meat and dairy as much as possible because of the impact factory farming has on the environment. . It has been simultaneously easier and harder than I thought. Harder because living with someone who still eats meat and dairy can make it so tempting to eat their food. Easier because holy cow you can make anything with plants and it can be so simple and delicious and I love eating this way. • Besides eating all the things I can make myself, there have been some pre-made things that have been real lifesavers. I wanted to share some of those with you in case you find them helpful! . + @nutiva coconut oil with non-dairy butter flavor. So good for cooking and flavoring some things. . + @earthbalance butter. Really perfect for things like toast. . + @followyourheart vegan mayonnaise. I love mayonnaise and this one is perfect and delicious. Matt loves it, too. 👌🏼 . + @betterthanbouillon vegetable base. We use boullion in our cooking a lot so this has been super helpful. . @gardein has some amazing vegan meat substitutes that have been super nice when Matt and I are making a very specific meal and replacing the meat feels tricky. . + Vegan burger patties and vegan cheese have been amazing for holiday parties. • Overall, super happy with the progress I have made. I am definitely not 100%. I don’t buy meat and dairy for myself, but when other people give me food I am not as worried about it. That’s just my approach right now. ✌🏼 But I am amazed that a life-long meat lover like me could make these changes and be completely satisfied. Not just satisfied, HAPPY. . What things have helped you eat less meat and dairy? How has the experience been? 😊

LOL. A cheeky reminder that our brains often accept the familiar, and resist the unfamiliar. Even if the familiar is harmful, and the unfamiliar has a long list of benefits. . I used to think essential oils were natural smells for hippies. I had no idea how much they would help my mood, skin, energy, digestion, reduce physical pain and more! . And MLMs! Five short years ago, I thought they were for talentless, annoying sales people who would eventually solicit and lose all their friends. . Tell me, things have YOU initially judged negatively, then really loved once they became more familiar? . A couple more for me: . 1) Crystals - I used to not understand why people buy them, and now I want to fill my home with them! . 2) Living in the countryside. Scale a Silo Saturday...? . . When I was home my grandma’s side of the family had a reunion and ended the night with a good ol’ fashioned fire on the farm. My mom and uncles said they used to climb this silo as kids, and I said, “I want to try!” So up I went 😜 . This was a major non-scale victory. This was climbing straight up rebar rungs, and not once did my muscles fail me. My body could’ve kept going higher, but my mind noticed how big the fall would be 😅 So down I went....until my mom said she wasn’t watching the first time so I did it again!! . . Taking a leap of faith in anything is pretty scary. So as humans, we tend to sit in that fear and create a life revolving around that fear. I can speak from experience that I know about living a life based around fear. As I got older, I learned that I rather take that leap of faith rather than live in a life of fear. Fear of failing. Fear of not being good enough. Fair of not being liked by other people. Fair of disappointing myself. It wasn’t until the middle of last year, that it was pointed out to me that I was living in fear. Mostly living in the fear of not being perfect. And honestly I was just setting myself up for failure. So, I’m urging you to live beyond fear before it’s too late. Before you are in that moment of your life where you say that you wish you had done this or done that. So take that trip you always wanted to take. Take that promotion that you don’t think you have a chance of getting. Move to that new city to give yourself a new start. Start that fitness program even though you don’t think you can commit fully. Our purpose in life is to be happy and we can not be happy living in free.

By next Sunday, I want to feel comfortable and confident in my skin. I want to learn more about myself and figure out my long term goals. I want to get my mindset on track and figure out who I am. We have started to really enjoy going up for a drive to the Barossa and checking out little places to eat. I love the fresh air, the greenery, family-owned shops and heritage. This is me (Anna), loving my curves! 😏⠀ CONFESSION: I honestly really do love my curves. But guess what. ⠀ ⠀ Media often will lead you to believe that curves are not a good thing. The “thigh-gap” phenomenon, the dresses that only flatter gals with smaller chests, the arm holes in shirts that cut off your circulation (speaking from personal experience, can you tell? 😉), the way they photoshop booty/thigh cellulite out of swimsuit advertisements...⠀ ⠀ I, like many girls, unknowingly bought into this as a young teen. Daily I would lift up my shirt to check out my stomach in the mirror, suck in a little so it looked “its best”, or silently curse myself for having boobs that kept getting BIGGER (WHY did I hate that you ask?! Because “no one” else had big boobs!). I started trying to eat more carrots or salads in an effort to chase after the “ideal Anna” that was held captive in my mind. An Anna that had the more boy-ish curve-less shape that was lauded at the time. ⠀ ⠀ But, guess what I realized, as an adult? My body has ALWAYS been beautiful. Curves are SO. BEAUTIFUL. They represent life, softness, femininity, and empowerment. ⠀ ⠀ I no longer want to change my body type, I merely want to be consistently striving towards the “healthiest Anna” I can be. This is what I wish the media persuaded us to do. Focus your energy and time on things that serve you and bring you joy and happiness and promote growth. The beautiful thing about life is the past doesn't get to define us. We are not the same person we were even a few days ago. Every day we learn new things and grow. Our past helped shape us into who we are today, but doesn't put a limit on who we can be. So I did something a little crazy today... it was a little scary and a huge step for me.😬🤗 I am a planner & make very well thought out decisions. I look at all the details and weigh the pros and cons. I normally lean to the more safe and logically choice, but today I decided to trust my intuition. I normally put myself on the back burner and tend to focus more on helping others. Normally, I would talk myself out of making any big purchases especially if it benefited me vs others (seriously, I normally try spend my Christmas money on my kiddos until my hubby refuses to let me lol) I would come up with any/all excuses why I cannot invest in myself... it’s not the right time. I cannot be away from my babies that long. We could use the money for XYZ instead... the list is endless. 😮 But TODAY I decided to put myself first without allowing myself to feel guilt or anxiety. I am going to embrace my decision & enjoy every second of it!🥳 So what did I do... I booked a trip to Costa Rica with my husband for our 5th anniversary! There were so many reasons I told myself we shouldn’t, but at the end of the day we only have one life to live. We can always make more money, but we cannot gain more time. This will be an unforgettable experience for my husband and I! ☀️👫 My goal is to take steps everyday to become the best version of myself. To do this I have to take inspired aligned action! 💗 What is going to be your next aligned action step toward your dreams? 🏝

Mindset Monday Positive Self talk is so vital. We need to build ourselves up, not tear ourselves apart. The person we are around the most is ourselves. We need to be aware of the words we are saying to ourselves. Is it something we would say to our kids, our loved ones? If not then maybe we need to reevaluate. We all have an inner critic. Thats part of being human. Our inner critic is the part of our mind that makes judgements about ourselves, others and situations. Its purpose is to help guide us down the path of inner growth. I found it helpful to give my inner critic a name. Pick whatever name you think is appropriate for you. My inner critic I named Jamie (just because it wanted to pick a J name and that is the first one that popped in my head that wasn't my immediate family lol) When I noticed I am starting to be judgmental to myself or others, I say to myself: "Ok Jamie, you need to stop. I know you are trying to help, but these things are not true." It is a way to get me to draw attention to the false thought and replace it will a positive one. What is your inner critic's name?

Self Reflection Saturday If I didn't have to sleep, I would use my extra time to do something I love. I would use that extra 8 hours in my day to do some reading to continue my personal growth. I would explore nature with my family in the dark. Star gazing, night hikes, camp fires, see how different the world is at night. Spending more time making quality memories with my boys. Fitness Friday Every movement we make is progress. Doesn't matter how big; just matters that we are taking steps toward our goals instead of away. We need to stop comparing ourselves to others. We are all on our own journey. The only person you can compare yourself to is the person you were yesterday. We should always be striving to be the best version of ourselves, even 1% progress is still progress! I used to run 3 miles a day before I had my kiddos. Instead of getting down on myself, I made an action plan to get back into that habit. A goal I have for myself is to do a couch to 5k. I have started training just by walking daily. My goal is to do a 5k run/walk with my oldest 😍😍 What are some of your fitness goals?

Wisdom Wednesday Focus your energy and attention to what you have in life already and even more good things will come your way. It is a scientific law called the law of vibration. Everything in the world is made of atoms and atoms are energy. If we focus our energy on lack and negative emotions, our energy vibrates at a low frequency. If we focus our energy on love, joy and gratitude, we vibrate at a much higher frequency. The energy frequency we give off attracts more of that same energy. Like the saying, the hits keep on coming. That is because you are staying in that lower energy frequency and not doing anything to raise your energy. Instead if you say to yourself, I don't want to continue down this path. I am going to take action and change my frequency. Stop the victim mindset and move your body and focus on your blessings and do something that brings you joy. Once you do these things, you will bring your energy to a higher level and attract more the that your desire in life.

Self Reflection Saturday My intro song is a tied between two songs. One would "This is me" from The Greatest Showman. My boys and I dance and belt this song out all the time. It's all about being our true self and being proud of who we are. Not to live in fear. The line "Look out 'cause here I come. And I'm marching on to the beat I drum. I'm not scared to be seen. I make no apologies, this is me" The other one is High Hopes by Panic! at the Disco. I have dreams for this life and I am all about taking action to make them into reality. The line that says, "Didn't know how but I always had a feeling. I was gonna be that one in a million. Always had high, high hopes" Always keep dreaming. I am teaching my boys this as well. My oldest Kenden loves this song too and says his teacher plays it every morning to start out the day. If you had intro music, what song would you pick?
