First ever muay thai experience, in bangkok; with the emperor himself, Namsaknoi!! Learnt so much in just 2.5 days and it has been such a eye-opening experience. Lower back felt the deadlifts a little bit, so used a belt for the last 2 sets. That’s also the reason I’m doing sumo instead of conventional at least for the next couple weeks maybe, until I’m feeling 100% with my low back. Everything else felt pretty good, but it was a bit weird running back and forth to the lifting platform and treadmill for today’s WOD. A few odd looks are the price to pay for some unique conditioning pieces 😂💪🏻 . Everyone has their perfect time to workout. My favorite time is first thing in the morning and here are a few reasons why: 1. There are less distractions to get in the way! Waking up at 5 AM means most of the population is still sleeping, so less things to come up and keep you from working out! 2. It sets a positive tone for the day (endorphins 😊) I feel way more productive by starting my day early and actually get a lot more done, because there is a lot more time! 3. It gives an energy boost for the day! I go to work/school alert and ready to tackle the day, even if it’s super early! 4. Working out first thing in the morning means you don’t have to worry about stress, workload, or weather getting in the way! It was a lot harder to workout after a long day at work, especially if it was a gloomy, rainy day. And stress throughout the day can be soo exhausting, leaving us drained. . Day 4 at with @hustle_and_flow_fitness started out on the field and finished in the gym with a light movement session for Daniel's tennis pro client. Enriching the learning environment with shoes and socks off and into mobility, end range big toe isometric hold strength, @viprglobal loaded movement and bodyweight as a recovery session. Realize and understand how important big toe extension + strength is - makes sense in every aspect of movement chain when we run, jump, change direction, walk, accelerate. 🌟Client Spotlight🌟 • In 6 short weeks @shanyadhindsa has taken her strength and skills to the next level. Teaching her optimal body positioning for maximum power, increasing her overall strength, and becoming quicker/faster overall, she is ready to crush it at @ucr_wsoccer in California. Not to mention shedding 2% body fat and replacing it with lean muscle 💪🏼. I am so incredibly proud of this girl for her hard work. • Here are some words that Shanya had about her training experience. • “I have never come across anyone who wants to see me succeed as bad as I want to for myself (my mom being an exception). Sat went above and beyond as a trainer to ensure that I get the results I am looking for. He put countless hours into creating a meal plan specified to me as well as creating a whole workout routine even for the days I am not training with him. He really makes you feel like you are possible of anything. For example, going into training I struggled with squatting, mostly because I didn’t feel like I was capable of lifting very heavy. I lifted 135lbs because of Sat. That may not be a big deal for most, but it was a huge accomplishment for me. I can confidently say that Sat is by far the best trainer I’ve ever had, his dedication to see you succeed and grow as an individual is what drives him everyday. This is so apparent when he is training you. There is no doubt that he is extremely passionate about what he does. He has helped me realize that there are no limits to what someone is capable of, due to this I was able to transform my body and lifestyle for the better. He is genuinely one of the most caring people I have ever come across, it may not seem like it when he pushes you to the point where your legs feel like they are on fire, but I promise it’s because he cares, sometimes even more than you do yourself. He is just as disappointed as you if you don’t lose the 2 inches in your stomach that you wanted to, even though with a trainer like him you are guaranteed to lose the 2 inches. The Matador preparing for his workout. WARMUPS are so important to prepare the body for battle. It ensures everything is switched on and ready to integrate as one. If mobility between sides is on-point, then i bypass stretching and go straight to the warmup routines. If i come in tight or restricted between left and right sides, i spend 5-10 doing some foam roller/trigger point ball/banded release to get movement symmetrical. Agility takes on many forms. To some, it can look like a bunch of games being played by grown men.
