Chardonnay Summer Ale?? That sounds like my thing. This one is brewed by @spearheadbeer is 4,3% in ABV.
It has brilliant clarity with a darker-golden/semi-amber color and has a thin head that has not the best retention, in fact it dissipates very quickly.
There are malty, earthy and estery notes in the aroma. The flavor is very estery, Belgian-yeast characteristics show up such as a kind of clovy and fruity character. Well balanced in general.
It is medium-bodied, has very low bitterness, has medium-carbonation, smooth and estery finish.
It is a easy drinking beer, good flavor! I must confess I was expecting a lot when reading the Chardonnay descriptor and did not find much of that character. Rate:7/10.
