During this morning’s Tabata spin class I sent all the energy stored in last night’s spaghetti back into the cosmos 🔥🔥🔥 • After spinning I did 7 sets of kettlebell swings (15 reps) because I mostly did cardio this week and wanted to wake up upper body muscle groups • If you want to start to get leaner without going to a gym here’s a doable 2 week challenge: 60 light kettlebell or dumbbell swings at home 5 times a week and cut your animal product consumption in half. Swipe swipe swipe 🤗🤗🤗 . . . Wow 2 years ago to today! 2 years ago I thrived and drove myself crazy to get below 120 and to keep getting leaner and leaner as I knew the stage was coming! I lived for the veins and wanted to be as LEAN as possible for summer and super cute outfits! . . Here I am exactly 2 years later to the date of weighing 118 and now weighing 145! Seeing 145 on the scale 2 years ago heck even 1 year ago WOULD HAVE DESTROYED ME! I would have started to restrict foods and do fasted cardio every morning to just get that number down. But today I embrace it! . . My lifts are going great and I am gaining strength through my recovery of all injuries, I am getting ALOT MORE SLEEP, I an eliminating toxicity in my life because I know and feel so damn empowered in this body! . . Yes I do miss the lean bean abs, and shreds and the fact that trying to squeeze into my shorts yesterday was a huge let down I immediately thought damn I cant fit in these not because of my waist but the fact that MY QUADS AND GLUTES have had some serious gains over the past 2 years! 👌🍑🍑🍑👌 . . So here's to gaining confidence on all LEVELS and the fact that sooner or later I will get to go shopping for a new wardrobe! Something in my knee popped last Tuesday. It didn't hurt at the time but since then it keeps doing little pops when I straighten it or turn wrong which makes it sore! 😢 Been bummed about my knee, also got into Poison Ivy, and have also been struggling with hormonally fangoriasly devouring everything in sight! YOU DON’T HAVE TO START ANYTHING TOMORROW. . You don’t have to detox, drink weird shakes, take ACV shots, or jump on ANY kind of train. You don’t even have to give up those cheap mini donuts you only ever find at fairs and beach parkling lots. 🍩🍩🍩 . It’s so common and completely understandable that so many peeps feel pressured into believing that these things work and are even necessary to improve health based on the society we live in. You can barely go 5 minutes without someone referencing their new diet, 30 day no sugar plan or seeing some kind of advert for the latest fat burning supplement. . And because many simply don’t work, and most are just downright unsustainable, they’re usually something people need to gear up and mentally prepare for. And so this all or nothing “I’ll start on Monday” cycle is started. . 👉🏼 Monday’s are great days. They’re great cause they’re another opportunity to grab those goals and live your best life. But so is right now. Every single second is a new moment and presents this opportunity to you. . SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO DETOX. Or do anything extreme. Not tomorrow, and not now. You have the option to OPT OUT of the lies diet culture is selling you and OPT IN to the life you deserve from now. 🌻 . Ones that’s sustainable, balanced, and makes you LESS (not more!) stressed. There are no quick fixes. So there’s nothing wrong with the desire to improve your health but be realistic. New habits are difficult, change takes time, and ups and downs are a natural part of the process. .
