It's a beautiful morning already and we are getting ready for a full on weekend, supper club and Easter Sunday roast are fully booked, and we're expecting busy days, because, well, who doesn't want to get out of town and relax with lunch, a nice chilled vino and this view!?
We have got a gorgeous, vibrant and delicious selection of freshly picked leaves and herbs from @jo_edwards2 to go into our John Evelyn salad as part of the heritage supper club on Saturday. John, a prolific writer and gardener was ahead of his time when he wrote 'Acetaria, a Discourse of Sallets' way back in 1699. As the definitive work in the salad world, we have brought past and present together to create a supper club dish inspired by the bad boy of the salad world with Jo's fresh, organic leaves. And that's some heritage inspo, right there.
We still have a little space for our final 'Heritage' supper club next Saturday if you want to try out John's salad and lots more Bath inspired dishes, call or email asap! Equally, we have lots of salads available in our shop, so pop in and try your hand at your own John Evelyn, tag us in so we can see your creations! .
We have spruced up our lovely outdoor area in preparation for the good weather, the @kettlesmith_brewing ales are chilling, our new (and my favourite) lager from @blonde_brothers_beer is cold there is plenty of icy white, AND new rosé wines from @greatwesternwine. So, for those of you whose bank holiday weekends are still about relaxing in the sun with a few long weekend drinkies, as opposed to getting up at dawn to hide about a thousand pounds worth of chocolate around your house and garden, we've got you covered 👍🏻
