Today I was going to talk about my wonderful husband and how he is the glue that holds all of our “products together!” He works in the barn at least 10 hours a day regardless of what's going on outside of those four walls. He's one of the hardest working men I know. He was brought up on a farm, and we know that farmers have a strong work ethic. Rarely will you see anyone procrastinating, slacking, or not completing a job. Growing up on the farm instilled the strong work ethic and character that he portrays today. I now need to shift my thoughts from my husband to my mother-in-law, a very special lady who we lost yesterday. At 97 years old, she was a very intelligent, hard-working, strong-willed, god fearing woman that loved me for just being me. She taught me many things about being a ”farm wife” because I was a city girl! I learned how to plant a garden, can vegetables, make bread, and that no two days were ever the same on a farm. It was a family affair, weather mattered, the days were long, and there's always something to do. Her purpose legacy was her children and grandchildren. To be the best she could be as a mother and grandmother. Well let me tell you that you were a great mother, mother in law, grandmother, and friend to many. We will miss you, always love you, and because of our Lord and Savior, we will see you again. Heaven has a new angel.
