Following on from my previous post about the gym, I have decided to discuss a key point about a crucial aspect of lifting weights... and that is, your form! 💪🏽
It is so important not to underestimate the importance of form. I’ve learnt this the hard way over the last couple of years with having to deal with constant lower back pain. This was because I did not have a professional coach to guide me through my movements. 🏋🏽♀️
If you’re new to the gym and you feel like you’re not quite sure whether you’re doing the movement correctly, I suggest getting onto a qualified, EDUCATED (emphasis on educated because there are many personal trainers out there who have no idea how to coach) personal trainer who can get you off to a great start 😊
Swipe to see some vids of me working on my form (with minimal weight)... Clearly still not 100%, but practice makes perfect (also, excuse the facial expressions😂)! Shout out to @mjr.fitness & @lauraluisa7 , these two are phenomenal examples of educated coaches... Get onto them!
Sometimes you have to bring it back to the basics to refine your movements! Quality over quantity my friends 💪🏽
