4/25/19 ➡️ 6/22/19. *Takes a deep breath* So this is incredibly tough to post, but I’m hoping that creating this account will help me to hold myself more accountable and also acknowledge the progress I’m making. There’s a 10 pound difference between these photos. However, the internal transformation I’m going through is FAR more significant. Feeling more focused, energetic, and less bloated than I have in years! Even though the weight is coming off more slowly than I originally anticipated, it’s still coming off. So glad that I made this lifestyle change! Me prometí que lo lograría, lograría nuevamente probarme ropa en la que me sintiera cómoda, sentarme sin meter la panza, e ir a la playa sin sentirme avergonzada , no es por algo físico meramente esto más allá , llega a mi parte emocional 😭 algunas veces e incluso llorado y las tiendas las he dejado de lado , hasta que la ropa que esté en mi closet se ajuste nuevamente a mi cuerpo, a veces siento que no esta dando fruto , y siempre siempre sucumbo ante KFC y una buena pizza italiana , pero lo más importante es la constancia y en esa si que no he fallado ! #healthylifestyle #selflove

Yes a calorie is a calorie- because a calorie is a unit of energy, but food is more than just calories. It’s nutrients! 👊🏼 and SOURCE does matter!❗️As well as quantity. . Different foods can have different effects on our: blood sugar, inflammation, satiety & hunger levels, digestive system, work or workout performance, energy levels! AND different foods have different amounts of vitamins and minerals! . Examples: ✅ Carb sources & blood sugar- Brown rice has more fiber and is a complex carbohydrate- providing a slower blood glucose spike than white rice, which has no fiber and causes a faster blood glucose spike (KEEP IN MIND with blood sugar though- the FULL meal matters as fiber, protein, and fat will slow down digestion and the insulin and blood glucose response) ✅ Omega 3 fats like chia seeds, hemp seeds, eggs, wild caught salmon- these are anti-inflammatory in the body, vs Omega 6’s like processed vegetable oils (think soybean, canola, vegetable oil), that can be inflammatory in the body in excess. ✅ More processed foods can have more added preservatives, artificial sweeteners, and added colors/flavorings that may be fine in moderation but not in high doses. They also can be more palatable and increase food reward systems int he brain via fat, sugar, and salt intake- making you want MORE to continue that reward system dopamine response as well as satiety- because these foods tend to not be as satiated and leave you hunger again and unsatisfied. . ✅ Food choice impacts your gut microbiota, which further can influence your metabolism. Example - Fiber and probiotics can feed our beneficial gut bacteria. A diet high in refined grains, sugar, and high animal protein intake with little vegetables and fruits will have a lower microbiome diversity in comparison to a more “plant based” diet that incorporates fiber, fruits, veggies, whole grains, with animal protein thrown in. . Things to thing about! MACRO SOURCE DOES MATTER. Just because you CAN fit in a chocolate bar daily doesn’t mean you should. Just because you CAN fit Halo Top in daily doesn’t mean you should. Just because you CAN eat a whole bag of broccoli too doesn’t mean you should 🤷🏻‍♀️

Let's talk self care..... We quite often take our bodies for granted but the reality is, We only get one! I took mine for granted for years, to be honest I didn't give a second thought to what I was putting on or in my body. I partied away my younger years. Late nights followed with days of consuming V drinks to survive the day, I could have up to 5 a day! I ate what I wanted..... I was skinny so that meant I was healthy right?! My immune system was non existent, I only had to look at someone with a runny nose to get sick. I had a lot antibiotics.... My Endometrisos & PCOS were out of control. BUT I didn't think much of any of it... Fast forward to getting pregnant with Tristan. I ate pretty well through the pregnancy but I worked right up till the day before I went into labour. I was stressed and gained a huge amount of weight. I went from about 60kg to over 100kgs! My labour was pretty traumatic & I lost a lot of blood..... Then enter a baby with colic, didn't sleep ever, we didn't know till a few years later he had sleep apnea. Plus no family to help as they are all in NZ . My body shut down! I couldn't eat anything! I reacted to everything! They done some tests and found I had basically lost all enzymes to process food. I was diagnosed with IBS & told I'd have to get used to my new reality. I had crazy anxiety to the point of basically not leaving the house for fear of not knowing where a toilet was. I couldn't accept this as a new reality so started my journey of healing. Healing the years of damage I had done. Accepting responsibility for my part wasnt easy. It's easier when you can blame someone else right! It was a very very long journey with ups and downs. At the start was more down than up. I sought help from many modalities. Healing my gut was number one priority. That took years! But, I can eat again! I don't have any IBS symptoms. DigestZen was the oil that "Sold" me on doterra as it entered my life while I was on my healing journey. It offered me relief while I was reintroducing foods to my body. I have been through many other challenges & through each one I have learnt the power of self care

We set off barefoot today to hide our kindness rocks around our local area. These babes are pretty amazing humans & today on our journey we came across a little girl hiding in the bushes. They immediately stepped up. Asking her questions. Are you OK? Are you lost? . We can help you..... My daughter who doesn't like bugs or getting her feet dirty went straight into the bush and said I can help you get out follow me. It was about this time her family noticed she had gone on her own adventure and came to find her. I stood back and watched everything in awe of these two awesome kids, putting their own issues aside to help someone else. Proud Mumma 💜 #mothering #lovingkindness
