My family is a far cry from perfect. The Wolfpack wasn’t raised perfectly and we certainly didn’t behave perfectly. But God’s grace still prevails in our family, and it’s only by His grace that we are so blessed.
I talk with my parents everyday. I didn’t always, and I can’t forever, so while I can I do. We don’t always have earth shattering, life altering conversations. They let me vent, talk about the things I’m excited about and get excited with me. They tell me about their students/coworkers and how the garden is doing. We laugh a lot, and sometimes cry (usually just me😂). They keep me focused, on track and never let me believe there is something I can’t do, even when I have burned the broccoli or broke the car jack.
They’re a frequent compass, relating to us when it’s hard then pointing us in the right direction. We don’t always agree on the trivial things in life; we don’t always say the right things, but without a doubt our parents are there for us. They have trekked all over the country for their kids/grandkids and would drive, fly, swim, walk, etc. to get to us if we need them.
So thankful for these two, thankful for their continual support, prayer and encouragement, for their opinions, wisdom, insight, empowerment and for their constant role in my life.
These two are pretty phenomenal.💕
