Finally time for a review on the @tatcha Silk Canvas (@thisgirllikesskincare picked this up for me while she was over in America - how kind!!) and I suppose that the first thing to discus, it’s not easy to get hold of in the Uk#K without hefty shipping/ taxes... boooo! 😫
There’s something very luxurious about the packaging, yet it’s simplistic and chic too.
When it comes to application, you need a very small amount, I find the more I use, the less effective it becomes. It’s a velvety smooth texture which melts into the skin and gives an airbrushed effect. Pores are blurred and it leaves a beautiful silky canvas for makeup - see what I did there! 💁🏻♀️🙃
It does help mattify the skin yet makes it feel hydrated and in a way, dewy at the same time. Just all round looks like “a good skin day”
I love the results this gives me, especially for my exposed pores, it really does minimise them.
As far as makeup longevity goes, this primer alone didn’t blow me away like it did for its smoothing effects. Having said that, I’m yet to find a primer where I don’t need to use a good power and setting spray- the perils of having oily skin I suppose! I get the impression someone with more normal/ dry skin may see better results with makeup lasting power.
It’s a beautiful product with some wonderful ingredients and while I’m glad I got the mini to start with, it’s absolutely without question that I want to get the full size.
Have you tried this m, it anything else from Tatcha I should add to my wishlist? 💜
