9 times out of 10 I am pretty hard on myself. I tend to go for the perfectionism of it all. The perfect grades everything in its place. If something goes wrong it's a complete anxiety meltdown. It got to the point where I wouldn't even attempt anything because of the fear of failure. That's not a way to live. It's a slow death of never taking a chance on anything in life and always playing it safe. I spent years holding myself back because I didn't think I was good enough to do anything special.
Now I try to change my mindset. I focus on what is going on in my life, what is holding me back and trying to fail forward. You will never know unless you try. I would have never known I could actually succeed at losing weight until I truly tried. Or getting my degrees. All these accomplishments but yet the urge to strive for perfection was still there. Sometimes we just need to sit back and reflect on how badass we are and let the rest fall into place.
Sometimes it's good to take time out by yourself. Time to relax, meditate and contemplate. It's always good when you do it out in nature then you can base your thinking on your observation. It spurs imagination and helps you appreciate life and your existence. The result is always a change on how you perceive yourself and your relationship with the environment in which you live in.
