Double Impact | The experience of photographing sharks up close is nearly impossible for me to express the feelings and emotions of such an ethereal moment. Sharks are one of our planets most misunderstood creatures. There is so much one can learn from these graceful animals, their importance for balancing the oceanic ecosystem. Undoubtedly, sharks can cause us to fear them for good reason, but in fact, they are very much more afraid of us. Never the less they command great respect. This is the first of my underwater series of images, all photographed in Bora Bora, French Polynesia using a Fujifilm XT2 and 18-55 lens inside a DicaPac waterproof case. I hope you enjoy the upcoming images, including this one I call Double Impact , of two Blacktip Sharks as they gracefully pass in front of my lens.
