Haven't done this in what seems like forever. I'm so glad I did, even though it might seem wiser to go to sleep.
I'm pretty exhausted. A month of hard work followed by a music festival and trying to catch up with everything I missed while working has taken its toll.
For some it might help with a few good nights of sleep and a cup of coffee in the morning, but I don't feel like I need rest so much as re-filling my batteries.
Going to the movies, hours of mario party with my brothers or getting in this zhone. Trying to learn a new song, not really having the guitar skills, but still trying over and over and over to get it right, forgetting the world around me.
Taking long walks. (I usually walk home every night, it's all uphill and takes me an hour, but it's really worth it.) Lifting heavy weights, and managing that one kilogram more than last time.
Running around in my apartment, dancing and singing. (I do that a lot.) Having loud, lively conversations with myself. (I do that a lot too.) I'm not saying I don't need rest. (I'm not good at resting, though, like really not good. I mean, what, you just sit there, just staring at netflix and not eat continuously or dance or clean or write to-do lists?) However, there are other ways to get more energy. As long as you know what fuels you.
